Olivier Flores Sánchez and Laetitia Tordeurs, who joined Alfa-Mar in 2023, have brought beauty and warmth to our community. Their idea to plant an ornamental olive tree outside Casa Nº 41 has turned into a welcoming symbol for everyone entering Alfa-Mar
A Tree That Welcomes Everyone to Alfa-Mar
We welcomed Olivier and Laetitia to Alfa-Mar in September 2023, and since then they have been enjoying their new home at plot 41, along with their three dogs – Blue, Loco and Canela. Like many other new owners, Olivier and Laetitia have plans to improve their property with a reform project. Meanwhile, Olivier is busy working on improving the interior of the house himself and from a few photos we’ve seen, it is already looking awesome! We wish Olivier and Laetitia all the best with their home projects in Alfa-Mar.
In late summer 2024, Olivier and Laetitia presented to us an idea to plant an ornamental olive tree, just outside their fence wall and near their garage. We immediately said “what a great idea” and offered any assistance we could provide. In September and October 2024, Olivier and Laetitia already found a tree of their choice – a beautiful specimen of an Olive tree – with an elegant branch structure and tremendous character.
Olivier spent days (if not weeks) preparing the soil in that area and built a beautiful stone wall around the base of the tree. With the help of his friends and family, Oliver planted the tree in its place in October. The location of the tree is perfect because it is at the first bend coming up to the urbanization (after the tennis court), and creates a wonderful atmosphere welcoming everyone to Alfa-Mar. As a finishing touch, Olivier added lighting to the tree so that we can enjoy its beauty both daytime and nighttime.
Thank you Laetitia and Olivier, your tree is a welcome enhancement to our community and it is very much appreciated!
