Remembering Manuel “Manolo” Muela Bosch, Former President

In October 2024, Urbanización Alfa-Mar paid its respects to the late former president Manuel “Manolo” Muela Bosch.

Manolo served as the president of Alfa-Mar for 16 years from 2006 to 2022, and passed away in October of 2024 after losing the battle against lung cancer. The Comisión Delegada collected donations from residents of the Alfa-Mar community and raised €590, which was donated to the UAPO Foundation in Granada, an organization that supports cancer patients through complementary treatments for physical exercise, nutrition, physiotherapy and psychology.

Through this charitable donation towards a meaningful cause, the Alfa-Mar community paid tribute to Manolo’s dedication and service to this community.

Remembering Celia Bellicourt, A Legacy That Lives On

In September 2024, residents of Urbanización Alfa-Mar came together to honor the memory of Celia Bellicourt, daughter of long time Alfa-Mar resident Jacques Bellicourt. Celia was a talented young athlete from Almuñécar whose life inspired many. The initiative reflects the strong community spirit that defines Alfa-Mar.

Residents of Urbanización Alfa-Mar paid tribute to the late Almuñécar athlete Celia Bellicourt by raising €905, which was donated to the Nerja Athletics Club in her memory. The club, where Celia had trained, honored her by naming a trophy after her, the “Celia Bellicourt Trophy – 60m Females”, presented during a club event titled “Criterium de Navidad” on January 3, 2024 . This gesture aims to support young athletes and ensure Celia’s legacy continues to inspire others.
